Conservation Corps Newfoundland and Labrador's Climate Change Education Centre is currently accepting proposals to its Youth Engagement Funding Initiative (YEFI), a program designed to provide funding/support to students in Newfoundland and Labrador who wish to pursue academic endeavors relating to climate change.
Students/classes may apply for monies, up to a maximum of $2000, to further enhance existing climate change initiatives or to begin development of a new project; projects requiring additional funds will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Initiatives may include activities carried out at an individual, group, class, or school level, and may be research, experimental, or action based. Projects may be created for entrance in science fairs or may be longer-term in nature, and will conclude in June 2012.
